The development team at Frontier Developments is announcing that, even as it continues to engage with the Elite experience in the coming months, it is also working on a new project called Planet Coaster, which is designed to offer a classic take on the rollercoaster tycoon genre.

The official trailer for the experience is a little light when it comes to details but makes it pretty clear that gamers will be able to create rides and the entire park that they will then manage.

The development team says that players of Planet Coaster will also be able to ride the various designs they make in order to feel the kinds of thrills that they can deliver.

Frontier states, "We’re giving you the best-ever design tools, crafting the most sophisticated management simulation, and bringing your parks to life with crowds you’ll love to thrill. Planet Coaster will give you total freedom to make your park unique, and a connected global village where you can share your creativity with the world."

The game was announced at the E3 2015 conference dedicated to PC gaming, but it's unclear whether the title is an exclusive or if it might also make its way to the PlayStation 4 or the Xbox One.
