Video game publisher Capcom announces that it will launch Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies in North American and European markets on the Nintendo 3Ds handheld in the fall of this year.

The game was initially announced as Ace Attorney 5, but the team has decided to rename it in order to show that the game once more focuses on the Phoenix Wright and on his exploits in court.

The game starts in a destroyed court room and players will have to find out what happened, eight years after the last events in the series, while battling Gaspen Payne, the younger brother of Winston Payne.

The series uses 3D graphics for the first time and there are new options to investigate crime scenes and to talk to witnesses.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies introduces Apollo Justice and new associate attorney Athena Cykes, who is able to determine the emotions of a witness and use them to find out when he is telling the truth.
