Developer PopCap Games has announced that it will be bringing its fun little peg-shooting puzzle game Peggle 2 to Xbox 360 on May 7.

Peggle 2 is the anticipated sequel to the company's original Peggle, an instant hit that blends pinball, pachinko, and Breakout mechanics with a unique assortment of super-powers and mechanics that greatly improve its replayability.

The peg-breaking title launched last year in December exclusively on the Xbox One, and now it's making its way to North America and Europe, scheduled to arrive in May.

The Xbox 360 version will come with a multiplayer Duel Mode right out of the box, allowing players to challenge each other in either local or online competitive multiplayer.

The Peggle Masters will of course show up on the Xbox 360 version too, lending a helping hand to players in need and assisting with demolishing bricks.

The Duel Mode has also been recently added to the Xbox One version of Peggle 2 as a free update, just like the developers promised their fans back in December.

The game's multiplayer has four options: Smart Match, an online duel against random strangers, Private Peg Party, which allows a group of friends to battle online, Private Duel, where two friends can go head-to-head online, and Local Duel, a mode that allows two friends to decide who is King of the Couch at nabbing those pesky pegs.

In addition, PopCap has also recently revealed that a new project is in the works, alongside more ports for Peggle 2.
