Video game developer Overkill, Starbreeze and 505 Games are announcing that they are now planning to support PayDay 2 for another two-year period, which means that gamers will get more content for the shooter until 2017.

The companies are saying that they are planning to introduce more free patches to tweak the balance and eliminate bugs, paid downloadable content based on other properties, and more campaigns.

Overkill is not yet ready to actually talk about the new elements that will be added to PayDay 2 or when they will be launched, although they do note that the rest of the year will be a busy period for them.

The title represents a positive investment for all the involved companies and became profitable even before launch because of the solid number of pre-orders placed by fans.

PayDay 2 tasks gamers with the execution of a variety of heists, all of them with unique objectives and challenges.

Players are able to now get no less than 30 pieces of new content for the experience, and Overkill says that it plans to keep about the same pace for the future, which will be very good news for those who want to cooperate with friends while executing complex plans.
