Publisher Ubisoft has announced that the Red Army is joining the hostilities in Panzer General Online, adding a ton of content for the players to enjoy and utilize in their battles.

Panzer General Online is a free-to-play tactical warfare game that merges the playstyles of trading card games and boardgames. The game is playable in browser, without needing any sort of client downloads, and it comes from developer Blue Byte, a notable maker of strategy games with a long-standing tradition for quality.

The Red Army comes to Panzer General Online with several new units, as well as new boosters and starter packs and a brand-new single-player campaign.

Players will be able to build up their custom Red Army decks and then try their hand at taking down the United States and German forces in intense tactical micro-battles.

Panzer General Online allows players to command historical units from three of the largest armies of World War 2, including the infamous T-34 tank and the Katyusha rocket launcher, and engage in furious campaign battles or online PvP matches in the race to the top of the leaderboards.

The title is currently in open beta, and gamers interested to give it a try can simply visit the Panzer General Online website and register for a free account.
