Pacific Rim: The Videogame has just received its first gameplay trailer, showing off actual footage from the upcoming movie tie-in that will appear exclusively for the Xbox 360 as a downloadable experience.

Pacific Rim is set to officially hit cinemas on Friday, July 12, and the movie made by Guillermo del Toro will be accompanied by a video game adaptation, in the form of the aptly titled Pacific Rim: The Videogame.

The title lets players take part in the huge mech battles between the violent Kaiju and the Jaegers.

The game is out only for the Xbox 360 via the Xbox Live Arcade and will appear on July 12 for just 800 MS Points.

Check out the video above and await a few more details as we get closer to the game's launch at the end of the week.
