The development team at EA Sports says that the newly revealed Xbox One video game console from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 from Sony will introduce the power required to simulate everything from player emotion to crowd energy and weather patterns in the new FIFA 14.

Rajat Taneja, a vice president and chief technological officer at Electronic Arts, states via LinkedIn that, "For example, in the real world, when an athlete takes the field or court during a playoff game and the crowd is going wild, they feed off of that energy and it impacts how they perform."

The new Ignite engine is specifically designed to capture the effects of these real-world elements and transfer them to the simulation.

FIFA 14 will only be powered by the new tech on the Xbox One and the PS4.

The game will also be offered on the PC and current-gen consoles in late September.
