A brand new survey from German research company Media Control GfK has confirmed that the PlayStation 4 has sold over 250,000 consoles in the large European country by the end of December 2013, while the Xbox One has sold just 100,000 units.

The PS4 and Xbox One are engaged in a fierce war since their debut last November, and it seems that the Sony next-gen console is edging ahead, with 4.2 million units sold as opposed to the Xbox One's 3 million.

Now, a survey from Germany has surfaced via Next-Gamer, confirming that, since November 29 until the end of December, the PS4 sold 250,000 consoles.

Meanwhile, the Xbox One, which was released earlier in Germany on November 22, has only managed to shift around 100,000 units.

These numbers aren't that surprising, however, especially since many European countries are quite loyal to Sony's PlayStation brand.
