The recently revealed PlayStation Vita TV might support the streaming of full-fledged PlayStation 3 games thanks to the future Gaikai cloud service that's set to debut for the PlayStation 4 at some point in time.

Sony revealed the PS Vita TV earlier this week and confirmed that the small device could play games for the PS Vita, PSone, and PSP, as well as support the streaming of gameplay from a local PlayStation 4 next-gen console.

Once the Gaikai cloud streaming service debuts for the PS4, on which it will allow the playing of PS3 games, it might have support for the PS Vita TV.

Such a thing is technically possible, according to Sony Computer Entertainment boss Andrew House, via Engadget.

As of yet, however, no concrete plan was offered as Gaikai is still being worked on by Sony.
