Konami has confirmed a few new things about this year's Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 title, promising that it will mark a comeback for the franchise, while globalizing the experience to attract more people.

Konami's PES series has been losing rather severely in recent years to EA's FIFA franchise and the Japanese company wants this year to bring about a comeback.

According to Konami's Shinji Hirano, who talked with MCV via Videogamer, the UK studio of the large publisher is also working on the project and "looking at the needs of the European people. It's about globalizing the franchise, so it is not just being developed by Japanese people."

"We know what's been going wrong with PES," added Hirano, "we are working on that. The next version is totally changed. 2014 is a transitional year for the franchise, so expect big things."

Expect PES 2015 to appear in late September or early October, based on previous release strategies.
