Kei Masuda, a creative producer working on Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 at Konami, says that the new football game aims to allow players to win with their favorite team in order to differentiate it from the FIFA 14 rival series from EA Sports.

The developer tells The Official PlayStation Magazine that, “If we can make a giant-killing possible, it’s a huge difference to FIFA.”

The idea is to allow a player to pick any team included in PES 2014, select a Quick Match and then go toe to toe with any other big team from the football world.

The new game will be made using the Fox Engine that Kojima Productions is creating for Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain.

The team promises more realism when it comes to player body movement and to interactions with the ball.
