The new football experience will not launch on Xbox One and PS4

One of the most surprising elements of the official Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 reveal was the fact that the new football game would not be launched on the Xbox One from Microsoft or on the PlayStation 4 from Sony.

But the new Konami title also lacks a Wii U version and comments from a developer suggest that the entire Fox Engine might not support the Nintendo device.

Adam Bhatti states on his official Twitter that, “that's something I wouldn't know. Fox Engine compatibility with WiiU is unknown to me.”

Konami has no future projects that use the new engine set to arrive on the Wii U.

The biggest problem of the Nintendo device is that it failed to generate a big enough install base.

Electronic Arts also has no plans to support the Wii U with its own Frostbite 3.
