Overgrowth is now offered on Steam Early Access, accompanied by a 17 percent holiday discount. The alpha is available for Windows, OS X, and Linux.

The Wolfire Games production is a third-person action game featuring leaping and climbing around a sprawling world as a ninja rabbit, as reported by Blue's News.

The best thing about it are the intricate and brutal hand-to-hand and weapon combat mechanics that rely heavily on skill and timing. The game is currently a huge sandbox martial arts adventure.

While the alpha lacks a single-player campaign, players can engage freely in exploring its combat mechanics in the arena prototype and even duel their friends on the same machine by hooking up two controllers.

The integrated level editor is also available for players to use, allowing them to alter a number of included environments.

The developers are still hard at work on Overgrowth and are releasing new features frequently, covered on Wolfire's video dev blog.

Additional information can be found on the game's Steam page.
