Julie Uhrman, the leader of the company behind the Ouya console, says that there are plans to launch a 2.0 version of the device at some point in 2014, including an update controller.

The chief executive officer believes that gamers will be happy with the changes that her team is making to the core Ouya experience.

She tells Polygon that, “We don’t want to wait six months and then go boom here are all these new features and functionality For the hardware, we are looking at different chips. We are looking at what type of performance we want.”

When the Ouya was launched, plenty of users complained about the quality of the included controller and the company has plans to listen to all the feedback it has received.

That means that it will fix the triggers, the feel of the thumbsticks and will also lower the general latency.

It’s unclear whether the 2.0 version of the Ouya will replace the current model or if they will be sold side by side.
