Video game developer Obsidian says that it only has a limited involvement in the development process that will see the Russian MMO Skyforge make the move to Western markets.

Chris Avellone, the creative director at the company, is quoted by Eurogamer as saying, during the Rezzed event, that, "What we’re doing is we know developers in the area that are familiar with this type of game; we can help you assemble a team, give you office space to work on that, provide the IT support, give design advice if necessary."

The group at Obsidian linked to Skyforge is small but it will have a big effect on the final quality of the game.

Skyforge MMO was first revealed in May at the Russian Game Developer’s Conference and then, Feargus Urquhart, the chief executive officer of the studio, said that it was interesting.

The game is expected to launch on the PC in 2014.
