Ubisoft has confirmed that it won't release a demo for its upcoming Watch Dogs title before its launch in May, as it wants to focus the development team on polishing the open world title.

Watch Dogs is one of the biggest all-new intellectual properties set to debut this first half of 2014 and Ubisoft already took the decision to delay its launch last fall so that the team at Montreal can make the best open world action adventure title they can.

Now, while talking with fans via Twitter, lead designer Jonathan Morin has confirmed that his team has no plans about making a Watch Dogs demo, as the studio wants to completely focus on making the full-fledged game as impressive as possible.

Morin stated that creating a demo, especially of an open world game like Watch Dogs, takes a lot of time and manpower, so Ubisoft doesn't want to do anything that might impact the final weeks of development.

Ubisoft will, however, release more gameplay videos so that fans can really examine the game in action and see if it's worth their money.

Watch Dogs is out globally on May 27 for the PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. A Wii U edition is set to launch at a later point in time.
