Hello Games' future seems to be uncertain following the recent tragedy that has befallen the studio, when its offices were flooded on Christmas Eve. The bad news keep on piling, as the company's insurance policy apparently did not cover flooding.

The dour news has been made public through Hello Games' twitter, in an attempt for devs to keep their fans up to date on what's happening.

“BAD NEWS! Had a hilarious call with insurer yesterday. Small print is if you are in a flood risk zone, you are not insured for flooding :(“, the team stated.

The flood was caused by a river breaking through its banks in Guildford, UK, on December 24, causing Hello Games' offices to flood and ending with the loss of much of the studio's computer equipment.

On a brighter note, the team noted that not being covered by insurance means they can get right in and try to assess the extent of the damage, without having to first wait for the insurance inspector to come.
