No Man's Sky developers Hello Games have announced some pretty grim news, affecting both them and fans of their upcoming projects. Their offices were flooded on Christmas Eve, resulting in them losing almost everything they had.

The tragedy was detailed in a series of tweets, exposing that most of their hardware and some personal items were destroyed when the banks of Guildford's Lower River Wey burst, on December 24.

“We've lost most things - PCs, monitors, furniture, a door, a wall. You'd think the massive water cooled mega PC would be ok? It was not :(,” one of the tweets read.

Hello Games seemed to remain positive throughout the unfortunate event though, stating that “we're taking stock today, but already I know we'll come back stronger :) - all we'll need is a place to work and a machine to work on :),” in an attempt to reassure their fans that they are determined to get back to work as soon as possible.
