Hideo Kojima has confirmed that he currently has no plans about recreating the original Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2 in the new Fox Engine, as the rumor that started floating around the web is a misinterpretation.

MGS fans are looking forward to the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, which promises to usher in a new type of stealth experience that emphasizes both gameplay and story, thanks to the impressive Fox Engine.

Recently, franchise creator Hideo Kojima was rumored to be considering a remake of the first games in the series.

This, however, is untrue, according to a statement made by the designer on his Twitter account.

Apparently, he has no plans to recreate Metal Gear Solid 1 or 2 in the new Fox Engine, so fans shouldn't expect any big announcement anytime soon.
