Nintendo has confirmed that its online eShop is now available once more across all platforms, namely the Wii U, 3DS, Wii, and DSi, after being offline for quite some time during the winter holidays.

Quite a lot of people got new Nintendo platforms for the winter holidays and, apparently, the strain suffered by the company's online service was too much, causing the eShop to go down.

Nintendo tried in recent days to solve all the issues and hoped that the strain would alleviate. That didn't happen but, finally, the company confirmed on Twitter yesterday, December 29, that the eShop was back online across all of its platforms.

As such, Wii U, 3DS, Wii, or DSi owners can finally access the online service and enjoy all the Internet-based services offered by the Japanese company for each of its platforms.
