14 DAY TRIAL // Video game publisher Nintendo is looking for innovative ways of promoting its games and is releasing a new live action video that focuses on the exploits of Luigi, Mario’s sidekick, and how he is one of the main developers of parkour.
The team states, “He could jump higher. He could jump farther. He was everywhere. And then he was gone. He just slid off the map. And went underground.”
The short movie includes a close look at the signature moves of Luigi and at testimonials from other members of the Mario universe.
The footage is not linked to any official video game release from Nintendo and might be part of a new initiative to update the image of the Mario franchise.
The company is at moment looking for ways to increase overall sales for the Wii U, which is expected to move 9 million devices before March 31 of next year.
