Nintendo has no announcements to make concerning indie sensation Minecraft for the Wii U or 3DS platforms, as apparently the company has a relationship with developer Mojang but it won't result in a collaboration anytime soon.

Minecraft is a huge phenomenon worldwide, managing to sell over 12 million units on PC as well as many more millions across mobile devices or on home consoles like the Xbox 360.

While the game is set to debut on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 this November, it still hasn't received any details about a possible release on the Nintendo Wii U or 3DS.

The Japanese company made a statement to GameSpot explaining that, while it has a relationship with Mojang, it can't make any announcements at this time.

This is sad news for Wii U or 3DS owners, as Minecraft is definitely one of the most popular games in the world nowadays.
