They will be officially revealed closer to launch date

Satoru Iwata, the president of Nintendo, says that his company is working on new types of games for the Wii U home console, which have not yet been shown to the public because of their revolutionary nature.

The company leader tells investors in a meeting that, "We are working on new types of games, but we would like to announce them much closer to their actual release timings for this reason."

He also reveals that Nintendo has a strategy of first satisfying core gamer requirements when it comes to the Wii U with more innovative experiences set to come at a later date.

Iwata has not offered any sort of details on the nature of the new game experiences.

The company wants to push up sales for the Wii U and interesting new experiences might be more efficient than a price cut.
