It's unlikely that Bayonetta will arrive on the Wii U

Reggie Fils-Aime, the leader of the North American division of Nintendo, says that fan-driven petitions to change company policy tend to have little impact because most decisions are driven by long-term business interests.

The executive tells Siliconera that, “I have to tell you—it doesn’t affect what we do. We certainly look at it, and we’re certainly aware of it, but it doesn’t necessarily affect what we do.”

Nintendo fans are some of the most passionate in the industry and have managed to get Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story and Pandora’s Tower localized for Western markets after they launched an operation called Rainfall.

They are currently trying to persuade the company to launch the old Bayonetta title on the new Wii U console.

At the moment, Nintendo is trying to resurrect sales for the platform in the face of strong competition from the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.
