The next Unreal Tournament game from Epic Games has just received some fresh images, including some screenshots from an alpha map, as well as some renders with a few iconic weapons like the flak cannon, the shock or the sniper rifles.

Epic Games is working on quite a few different things nowadays, starting with the major Unreal Engine 4 technology and continuing with its big UE4-powered title, Fortnite.

At the same time, smaller internal teams are busy with other projects, such as a free-to-play Unreal Tournament first-person shooter, that promises to envision the classic arena shooter experience with the UE4 visuals.

Different images from the alpha version of the game have already appeared in recent months, and now, via DSOG, a series of fresh shots are available.

As you can see below, there are screenshots from a new work-in-progress map that looks suitably futuristic and boasts plenty of signature elements from past Unreal Tournament shooters, such as vertical design, stairs and maze-like corridors, and a cohesive color scheme.

More importantly, there are also some renders for several classic UT weapons, such as the flak cannon, the sniper rifle, as well as the shock rifle.

It's still unclear just when Unreal Tournament will appear as a public alpha or beta, so expect to hear more from Epic in the following months. Until then, check out the images below.
