CD Projekt RED's upcoming role-playing game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, has been said to look superb, and another gameplay footage video has emerged on the Internet, looking to confirm that.

The developers have stated that their goals far surpass the possibilities of current-gen consoles, and as such The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will only be available on PC and next-gen.

If you're wondering why, have a look at the video below and find out why you might need to upgrade your PC. The video shows Geralt roaming the world and taking on a quest, then engaging in some combat and showing off his skills.

The game includes a vast open world where players are free to find their own path, a living world that's said to be more than 30 times larger than the setting of the previous Witcher games. Each action that the player takes, each one of their choices will affect the way the storyline evolves.

As the video shows, combat is a mix of hack-and-slash action with some use of magic thrown in, in this case the footage showing how a Shockwave effect sends ripples across the surface of a watery bog.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is currently scheduled for release on February 24, 2015, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
