Video game hardware developer and video game publisher Nintendo has released a new trailer for the 3DS handheld which showcases the Letter Box application, also known as Swapnote.

The app can be downloaded from the eShop store and it allows those who use the device to use both the StreetPass and the SpotPass connectivity features to send messages to friends.

Users can both write and draw messages and there are options linked to choosing the design of the paper on which everything is written.

Voice clips and 3D photos taken with the Nintendo handheld can also be attached to the messages.

The Nintendo 3DS is revolutionary when it comes to connectivity and social features in the handheld world and the company that makes it is very interested in making sure that it actually creates a group of users who take advantage of these features and make them attractive to others.
