A leaked image from retail chain GameStop seems to show that the New Nintendo 3DS XL device is set to be launched on February 13 of this year on the North American market and that players who pick it up will also be able to get access to The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, two of the most important handheld titles that Nintendo has been working on recently.

The companies involved have not offered an official announcement so far and they have a policy of not commenting on speculation, which includes the NeoGAF image.

The New Nintendo 3DS XL is designed to upgrade the hardware of the handheld and improve the general user experience.

It’s unclear when it might be introduced in Europe.

Nintendo has long had a policy of delivering upgrades for its handheld in order to make it more interesting to potential users and to make sure that it keeps its sales up.

The company is not saying whether it will discontinue the original version of the 3DS XL or if it plans to create more ways for its new handheld to interact with the Wii U home console in order to boost its own sales numbers.
