Video game developer and publisher Nintendo announces that it is working on a new Kirby title, which will be launched exclusively on the Nintendo-made 3DS handheld at some point in 2014.

The team has delivered a full trailer for the game, which shows a number of interesting gameplay mechanics and uses the classic look and soundtrack associated with the character.

Nintendo is not yet willing to offer any more information about the game.

The only text associated with the video states, “Check out our new Kirby game for Nintendo 3DS, coming next year!”

The 3DS has managed to deliver solid sales for Nintendo since a price cut was introduced last year and the delivery of a new Kirby game might attract more fans to the device, especially if the company also creates a special bundle.
