Bethesda has shared more details about the upcoming reveal of the new Doom title at QuakeCon 2014, confirming that it will be shown exclusively to attendees of the large event, while those who can't make it will have to wait a bit longer to see the new shooter.

A new Doom game has been eagerly awaited by the franchise's millions of fans for quite some time and, after rumored turmoil at developer id Software, it seems that the game is taking shape.

Last month, publisher Bethesda released a teaser trailer and confirmed that Doom would be present at QuakeCon 2014 later this month.

Now, in a post on the BethBlog, the company has confirmed that only QuakeCon attendees will be able to enjoy the sneak peek at the next first-person shooter in the series.

"This an exclusive thing we are doing for attendees as part of our Annual QuakeCon Welcome presentation. We’ll have plenty more to show everyone at a later date, but we didn’t want another QuakeCon to go by without doing something special for the amazing QC community and id supporters that have been with us for more than 20 years," the publisher said.

As such, you shouldn't expect to hear anything outside QuakeCon about the new Doom. However, given the open nature of the event, you can expect a few leaks.
