Don't expect to see any Titan add-ons anytime soon

Titanfall might not get more Titan varieties as downloadable content after launch, as developer Respawn Entertainment has emphasized just how much balance work is needed to make sure that something isn't over or underpowered.

Titanfall has been launched this week and finally allows players access to its great multiplayer-only first-person shooter experience, which combines infantry warfare and one based on the large hulking Titan mechs.

While Respawn has confirmed that DLC is coming to the title, the studio has yet to detail just what it might include.

Now, Community Manager Abbie Heppe has talked a bit with IGN about potential Titanfall DLC and she practically ruled out any new Titans, as adding new mechs would mean a lot of balancing work.

"In order to [add a Titan] it takes so much balancing to make all the Titan abilities work with each other, and then against pilots. It’s a huge undertaking. Originally we just had the Atlas titans and then the team refused to add in the rest of the Titans until we were all sure that that one fitted perfectly with everything else in the game, so... I’m not announcing any new Titans right now," she said.

Even so, it's possible that Respawn might bring more Titan varieties besides the Atlas, Ogre, and Stryder that are currently in the game.
