Namco Bandai has revealed a new game mode for their upcoming brawler Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution, the Ninja World Tournament mode.

The new game mode will feature four-way ninja battles between players and three computer-controlled opponents. The victor of these battles will be decided by the number of Battle Orbs acquired during a match, and Battle Orbs can be gained by attacking opponents.

The Ninja World Tournament will see ninjas from all around the world joining the battle on Festival Island, where the melee brawls against multiple opponents will take place.

Tournament participants will compete in tiered battles, working their way up toward the S-ranked battles and ultimately winning the ultimate ninja title.

Rumors have surfaced that the elusive and mysterious Mecha-Naruto has also been seen lurking on Festival Island, so a surprise might be in store for tournament entrants.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution will be available this year for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 entertainment systems.
