Square Enix has announced that the supernatural detective game Murdered: Soul Suspect will be released this summer, on June 3 in North America and June 6 worldwide.

Murdered: Soul Suspect is a dark thriller that focuses on detective work with a supernatural twist that tasks players with solving their own murder. Taking on the role of Police Detective Ronan O'Connor shortly after meeting his untimely demise at the hands of a brutal killer, players will assist in uncovering Salem's mysteries.

Ronan O'Connor is trapped in a limbo world called Dusk, and he is unable to find peace until he sees his killer brought to justice. Players can start hunting for clues and leads on the Murdered: Soul Suspect Facebook page, and find out what they can do to avenge Ronan's murder.

US gamers who preorder Murder: Soul Suspect from Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target or Walmart will receive an interactive digital strategy map that will help players unearth all of all the game's secrets. The map will be accessible via computer or tablet, and will include the location of hundreds of in-game items such as quest givers, collectibles and Easter Eggs scattered around Salem.

Murdered: Soul Suspect will be released on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC platforms, on June 3 in North America and June 6 everywhere else.
