Vanillaware has released a new downloadable content pack for Muramasa Rebirth, the PlayStation Vita high-definition adaptation of Muramasa: The Demon Blade.

Muramasa Rebirth's new DLC is titled Fishy Tales of the Nekomata, and stars Okoi, a girl possessed by a cat spirit, who embarks on a quest to avenge her brother using her newly acquired claws and demonic powers.

Players will have the opportunity to use the new combat system on the new villains and bosses introduced in the DLC.

The Fishy Tales of Nekomata is the first in a series of four episodes, part of the Genroku Legends campaign pack planned for this year, that sets to deliver four tales based on Japanese folklore.

Marvelous AQL has also published a trailer that debuts with an atmospheric exposition and then transitions into an action-packed frenzy of gameplay sequences.

The Fishy Tales of the Nekomata downloadable content pack is already out on the PlayStation Network in North America, and it will land in Europe on January 22.
