Publisher Aksys has announced the February release of the second downloadable episode for the side-scrolling hack and slash game Muramasa Rebirth, titled A Cause to Daikon For.

Developed by Vanillaware, Muramasa Rebirth is an enhanced version of the Muramasa: The Demon Blade game, released as an exclusive PlayStation Vita title. There are four planned DLCs for the game, part of the greater Genroku Legends campaign.

The second chapter in the Genroku Legends story follows a farmer joining a rebellion against Governor Hatono's unfair tax policies.

During an interview with Siliconera, detailing the four planned characters, producer Yoshifumi Hashimoto stated that this particular character was inspired by Harvest Moon.

The first chapter, Fishy Tales of the Nekomata, starred a girl possessed by a cat spirit, with special demonic powers and deadly claws.

This time around, players will fill the shoes of lowly (but brave) peasant Gonbe, and will be able to use various tools such as a hoe and a sickle, and Gonbe's ghost wife will also assist him in his quest for justice.

The second DLC episode in the Genroku Legends saga will be made available on February 25 in North America and on February 26 in Europe.
