NetherRealm Studios, the developer of the upcoming Mortal Kombat X, confirms that it won't release a demo for the fighting experience, as due to the limited time, it will focus all of its resources on improving the final game, instead of developing a small trial for it.
The Mortal Kombat series has been around for quite some time, and ever since it hit arcades many years ago, it's been a mainstay in the fighting scene.
NetherRealm is now set to bring forth the latest evolution of the series in the form of Mortal Kombat X, which is set to launch in April across a multitude of platforms.
Unfortunately for those who like to try before they buy, a Mortal Kombat X demo won't appear ahead of launch.
The news was confirmed by NetherRealm boss Ed Boon on Twitter, while Producer Shaun Himmerick further elaborated on the reasoning behind the decision not to make a free trial for the fighting game.
According to him, the studio has very little time and resources and it decided to allocate them to the final game and improve it as much as possible, instead of creating a demo that would impact the quality of the actual experience.
Himmerick did mention that work was progressing well, and if everything goes smoothly, a new trailer with a new character reveal is going to appear this month.
“@jeffreyygrande: @noobde @NetherRealm when is the demo going to come out? šš© EB: There is no demo.

@talontuggle we took that time to make a demo and made the final launch game better. Limited time. The final game is better for it
