Even if a full week separates fans from the debut of Mortal Kombat X, developer NetherRealm and publisher Warner Bros. have just presented the launch trailer for the long-awaited fighting game.

Mortal Kombat X launches later this month and fans of the series have already been able to enjoy a series of very impressive videos, live stream presentations, and actual details about the long-awaited title.

Just one week separates them from the actual global launch of the title, and in order to take the hype to new heights, developer NetherRealm and publisher Warner Bros. have just rolled out the launch trailer for Mortal Kombat X.

As you can see below, the footage contains all sorts of sequence from the single-player story campaign, highlighting both the good guys and gals, not to mention the various villains.

Of course, sequences from the actual fights are also included in the trailer, depicting gruesome fatalities, not to mention some pretty intense battles with old and new characters.

The soundtrack, provided by System of a Down's iconic Chop Suey song, also complements the action in the trailer and really emphasizes the intense fights.

Mortal Kombat X launches on PC, PS4, Xbox 360, and mobile devices on April 14 worldwide. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions are coming this summer.
