For the week which puts an end to 2011 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 from developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision Blizzard has managed to top the Nordic game chart that is compiled by Media Control-GfK.

The rest of the top ten is being made up of: FIFA 12, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Battlefield 3, Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventures, Need for Speed: The Run, Just Dance 3, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, New Super Mario Bros and The Sims 3: Pets.

The Sims 3: Pets managed to also grab the top position when it comes to PC sales, while FIFA 12 took home the number one when it comes to sale on the PlayStation 3.

The Xbox 360 is the platform of choice for shooters, with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 taking the top position while Just Dance 3 is the best selling game on the Wii.

When it comes to handhelds New Super Mario Bros dominates the DS, with Super Mario 3D Land leading on the 3DS and FIFA 12 in front on the PlayStation Portable.
