Video game developer DICE and publisher Electronic Arts are ready to deliver a full initial look at the coming Mirror’s Edge Catalyst experience, which is designed to explore the origin story for main character Faith.

The two companies are announcing that gamers will be able to get access to the new title on February 23 of 2016 on the PC, the Xbox One from Microsoft, and the PlayStation 4 from Sony.

The entire City of Glass location in Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is designed to be accessible with no loading screen or level breaks, a big open world that can be explored at will.

Depending on how the player moves through the city, various types of threats will be on their tail and powerful melee moves are the only way Faith can take them down.

DICE says that it will explore a range of themes in Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, including the impact of surveillance on the lives of ordinary people and when a totalitarian regime can no longer be tolerated.

The new title will focus on the parkour-heavy gameplay of the original title in the series and will expand them in order to give gamers more ways to move around the city.

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will also get a special six-part comic book from Dark Horse that will offer even more details about the universe and the main characters.
