Minecraft for the Xbox 360 console will be released as a retail game at the end of April, containing all of the major updates released for the addictive game, not to mention the actual title.

Minecraft impressed millions of gamers from around the world on the PC and was soon released onto other platforms. On the Xbox 360, however, it became a massive success, prompting the studio that handled the porting process, 4J, to release lots of updates and add many new features.

Now, for Minecraft fans who can't connect to the Xbox Live Marketplace and get the downloadable game, Microsoft has confirmed via PlayXBLA that a retail package of Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is coming to retail stores.

This new version of the game includes all the patches for the game, as well as the upcoming title update 9.

It will be released in retail stores in the U.S. on April 30 and costs $19.99 (around €15.43). It will also come out in early June in other countries like Australia, Hong Kong, India, New Zealand, Singapore, and Taiwan.
