Platform holder Sony has released a brand new video, showcasing some footage of Minecraft's upcoming PlayStation Vita edition.

The upcoming PS Vita port of Mojang's wildly popular open-world building and survival game is shrunk down to fit on Sony's portable gaming system, and the video shows what kind of portable fun players can expect to have with it.

For the time being, there is no hard release date for the PS Vita edition, but it's currently in the works over at developer 4J Studios, that is also carrying out the upcoming Xbox One and PlayStation 4 ports of the title.

According to the latest from 4J Studios, the PS4 edition of the game is bug-free and is being tested over at Sony, but the Xbox One and PS Vita versions still have some more debugging to undergo.

The PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and Xbox One editions of Minecraft are expected to land sometime later this month. The PS Vita version will be a cross-buy with the game's PS3 version, which can be upgraded to the PS4 one for a much smaller fee than the cost of the standalone game, with the same upgrade option being offered to owners of the Xbox 360 version who would like to move to the Xbox One.
