Keiji Inafune's Mega Man spiritual successor, Mighty No. 9, has just gotten a brand-new Kickstarter update, revealing some more gameplay and boss fight footage from the upcoming action platformer.

Developers Comcept and Inti Creates are working hard in order to ensure they meet the release window, set for the spring of 2015, and the latest Mighty No. 9 Kickstarter update delivers more of the fruits of their labor.

The gameplay video shows a few choice bits of Mighty No. 2 and Mighty No. 5's stages, as well as some footage from two battles against stronger opponents than the usual stuff you'll encounter in the levels.

In addition to the video, the update also features some more visual material depicting Call, the female heroine of the upcoming action platformer, who became playable in-game after the corresponding stretch goal was met.

The update offers a sneak peek at her crawling and running animations, also informing that unlike Beck, the standard protagonist, she can't perform crouching dashes, and she'll have to resort to crawling in order to navigate various cramped spaces like ventilation shafts.

The animation gifs also show a weird-looking pink object strapped to her back, which definitely resembles a jetpack, and about which the devs have not yet mentioned anything.
