The development team Monolith Productions and publisher Warner Bros. are delivering a new trailer for the upcoming Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, which is designed to show gamers some of the core ideas that are powering the coming adventure based on the universe created by J.R.R. Tolkien.

The official article on the PS Blog recaps some of the core features of the title, which will introduce an open world that can be explored however the gamer wants, with a number of unique enemies to battle and opponent captains that can be manipulated using the new Nemesis system, which allows players to create a unique relationship with other characters.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor will be launched on the PC, the PlayStation 4 from Sony and the Xbox One from Microsoft on September 30 in North America and October 3 in Europe.

The game will also be offered on last-gen consoles in November.

The adventure will focus on Talion, a ranger who is killed by the forces of Sauron and is then mysteriously revived and seeks to take out those who have harmed him and his family.

The title bridges the gap between The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings and will explore areas of the world that the books did not focus on.
