Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor might turn up to be one of the stealth contenders in this year's gaming arena, and developer Monolith Productions seems to be investing in providing the best possible experience to gamers.

The game introduces plenty of new mechanics to the genre, the most impressive of which is the Nemesis system, a thingamajig that memorizes the player's previous interactions with unique characters such as orc leaders, and then dynamically changes the relationship between them and the other characters.

The feature seems to be very intriguing, from what developer Monolith Productions has shared up to now, and the bits and pieces of information revealed on the game's tumblr, as well as the gameplay offerings shown during this year's edition of the E3 convention have stoked the flame of curiosity in many gamers.

The latest information comes in the form of some technical specs that Monolith head Kevin Stephens has revealed in a livestream of the game conducted by TwinGalaxies. Over the course of the 2-hour-long streaming session, he says that the PlayStation 4 version of the game runs at 1080p resolution and that the team is doing "everything they can" to get to 60 frames per second.

The sad part is that when asked about the Xbox One version of the upcoming action adventure title, the developers refrains from revealing anything, which might mean that they are not able to deliver the same magic PR numbers.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is coming out on October 7, for the PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.
