See which version of the game looks the prettiest

A brand new video comparing the visuals of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor between the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms has appeared, showing just what device runs the new open world title the best.

Shadow of Mordor launched earlier this week and surprised quite a lot of people through its high-quality gameplay, the innovative Nemesis system, not to mention some stellar visual effects across all of its different platforms, from PC to PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, or Xbox One.

As with many multi-platform experiences, plenty of people want to see on which device the game runs best, and as a result quite a few comparisons have been made between its various versions.

The latest one appears from GameSpot and pits against one another the PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions of Shadow of Mordor in a variety of scenarios, from combat to running around the open world, both during the day and at night.

Unfortunately, it seems that the PC edition isn't running with the optional high-definition texture pack and also that its brightness and contrast levels aren't the same as the PS4 or Xbox One versions.

Even so, the video comparison is a pretty good way to see that, overall, there aren't that many differences between the game on the three platforms at 1080p resolution. Bear in mind that a direct footage, without any YouTube compression, hasn’t been made available.
