Gamers can get access to a Dark Ranger skin and challenge mode

The development team at Monolith Productions and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announce that they are planning to launch their new title Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor on October 7 of this year.

The companies also reveal the pre-order offer associated with the game, which will allow gamers to get access to a wealth of extra content.

The title is set to arrive on the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox One from Microsoft, the PC and current-gen consoles.

Gamers who are ready to pay for the game before it is actually launched will be able to get access to the exclusive Ranger bonus pack, which adds:

- Dark Ranger character skin, which embodies the dark side of main character Talion;

- Test of Power challenge mode, designed to allow gamers to face powerful Captains to get access to powerful Runes;

- exclusive leaderboards that allow player to compare performance with that of their friends.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor is an action title that will focus on the entirely new story of Talion, a Black Gate ranger who is mysteriously returned from the dead and needs to plot his revenge against both Sauron and his various minions after they destroy everything that he holds dear.
