The team at Microsoft in charge of the Xbox One home console says that it is aiming to develop a new routine for dealing with issues affecting the device, aiming to confront them head on rather than trying to avoid controversies.

The new approach was in effect during the recent period when sign-in issues affected the platform.

The company acknowledged the problem and informed gamers all the way as it was trying to locate the issue and then solve it.

Phil Spencer, one of the executive in charge of the Xbox One, is quoted by NeoGAF as saying that, “when you're going to say something to a consumer that might put them off, it's better to just be direct and honest, rather than trying to sugar-coat something that might be controversial.”

Before the console was launched, it was affected by public debates about the unpopular DRM measures that Microsoft aimed to implement and then dropped and about the price and the presence of the Kinect motion tracking system.

The company is at the moment under pressure as it is trailing the PlayStation 4 from Sony in terms of sales.

The recently launched Titanfall is expected to offer it a boost on the market in the coming weeks.
