Developers need to talk to the company about the issue

Chris Charla, the leader of the division at Xbox One working with indie developers, says that the very controversial parity clause might be reviewed in the near future if enough studios offer negative feedback about it.

The clause means that all titles coming to the Microsoft platform need to be out on it at the same time as they arrive on the first device on which they are launched.

This means that successful titles that are already out do not benefit from a clear process for an Xbox One port.

Charla is quoted by Edge as saying that, “Obviously we’ve heard the feedback from developers and we’re looking at all the way the ways we can to lower barriers for developers, but I really can’t comment on publishing policies. The reality is that developers should get in touch with us and talk.”

Prior to launch, Microsoft explained that the Xbox One included full developer capabilities, but they have not yet been activated.
