Don Mattrick, the leader of the Microsoft division working on the Xbox One, says that the new device from his company will be delivering more value than its price tag covers when it becomes available in November of this year.

Joystiq quotes the executive as saying that, "Any modern product these days, you look at it $499 isn't a ridiculous price point. We're delivering thousands of dollars of value to people, so I think that they're going to love it when they use it."

Microsoft surprised many fans when it announced that its next-gen device would sell for a full one hundred dollars or Euro more than the PlayStation 4 from Sony.

Mattrick says that services like Skype calls, SmartGlass integration and Twitch streaming will drive players to get the Xbox One.
