The development team at Microsoft working on the coming Xbox One home console is not going to ask all publishers to include demos for their titles but it is working on new ways to make sure that players can test games before buying them.

Marc Whitten, who leads the launch preparation process, tells IGN that, "Not all games will have demos like Xbox Live Arcade games have had on Xbox 360."

He adds, "That said, we are going to work on lots of ways to make it easy for you to find and try new games on the service."

At the moment, demos are required for all the games that are launched via the Xbox Live Arcade.

Microsoft is not yet saying exactly how gamers will be able to discover and try out new content on the Xbox One, which is expected to launch late in November.
